The Future Freaks me out
You like them. You think they have a great personality. They're cute. You are all caught up in the "new" thing. Then, you find out they like you. Hip Hip Hurray, Right?
Not for me. Something that I have never been able to understand about myself is this concept. I have had a few 'boyfriends' here and there, but nothing serious enough to even really consider real or count it as a relationship at all. Does anybody else go through this? It's like I only like the chase, and then when I have the person, I decide that I am not as interested as I was to begin with. Maybe I'm just scared to be hurt, or maybe commitment freaks me out a bit. Maybe it's immaturity. But I really want to get past that.

Not Meant to Be
She looked out of his dorm window and saw all of the girls in their bathing suits. They had perfect bodies, was this a prerequisite of going to Radford? She was glad that the weather happened to be nice on this February weekend, but why were the girls tanning? It couldn't have been more than sixty degrees. She sighed because she knew she would be doing the same thing back at JMU. She never had doubts about their relationship before, but the distance was getting stressful. Her best friend's disapproval didn't help, and the new friends she made at school always egged her on to hook-up with the good-looking guys at parties. The good looking guys at parties never seemed happy that she had a boyfriend, either. Her thoughts pursued until suddenly the door opened, he came back from taking a shower. She looked at him, but she did not see the same boy that she had dated her whole senior year of high school anymore. She saw a taller, more mature person. He looked at her and asked her what was wrong, she realized she had tears in her eyes. She didn't know what to do. This was the beginning of her doubt. Maybe they weren't 'meant to be.'

An Inspiring Speech
There are plenty of amazing speeches out there given by politicians or civil rights leaders, but the ones that have always tended to "melt my heart" are acceptance speeches by actors and actresses at the Academy Awards! Yeah, it's cheesy because the Oscars just passed and all, but an inspiring speech at the Oscars to me is something that remains prominent when ever asked about speeches.
What are the means of a "Great speech?" A Great speech, in my opinion, is one that is well spoken grammatically, clearly portrays the emotion and passion behind the purpose of the speech, and that can touch the listeners. The speech is unique, memorable and used as an allusion. Oscar speeches are a representation of how following your dreams and stamina through hard work can pay off.
Tom Hanks
Cuba Gooding Jr.
Russell Crow
Denzel Washington
Sandra Bullock

The Oscars
I loved the Oscars and thought that everything that deserved recognition received plenty of it. Everyone is saying that Hathaway and Franco were boring or just not suitable but based on their inexperience I personally think they did a really good job!
I am especially ecstatic about Colin Firth's win

Grandad's Annual Beach Trip Speech
Grandad: "Babe, another Corona, will you babe?"
Barbara: "Okay hun."
Daniel: "Hasn't he had like four beers?"
Aunt Linda: "He isn't supposed to be drinking with his new medication..."
Aunt Mimi: "Why is Barbara giving him another?"
Ben: "Well obviously she wants him to kick the bucket, Aunt Mimi. Barbara's like, what, 40? And aren't we celebrating his 78th birthday this week? What is this; Hugh Heffner?"
Aunt Linda: "Benjamin!"
Ben: "I mean honestly. Grandad is going to fall over any day now. She's clearly a gold-digger."
Daniel: "But she ain't messin with no broke, broke!"
Logan: "Shut-up, Kanye."
Grandad: "Everyone! It's time for me to- gather around. I want to give a speech."
Uncle David: "Here we go again..."
Daniel: "Should I go get the other cousins?"
Aunt Mimi: "I don't know if I want my kids to hear this, remember his last speech?"
Grandad: "Everyone, I want you to first know that I love you. I love you all. Secondly, every year we come here and I give a speech. I may be a few beers deep this year, but I love you. I love all thirteen of you grandchildren."
Uncle David: "I think you mean fourteen..."
Grandad: "I love all of my kids. But, we all know that sadly, one cannot be here with us tonight. I would like to take this time to have a moment of silence for my beautiful daughter. She passed away as we all know. So, everyone, let's take this time to have a moment of silence for Mimi. Oh, poor Mimi. We all miss her dearly."

In defense of
In defense of everyone that is officially saying "What the hell?" to Lady Gaga
Honestly... I feel like there are no words needed, but I'll continue. I just can not see how anybody would think highly of her anymore. I think that she wants attention and is trying extremely too hard to be eccentric and different. It would be one thing if she did this egg stunt at one of her own shows, but at the Grammy's? I think that Gaga is now spelled G-I-M-M-I-E-A-T-T-E-N-T-I-O-N.
